Keeping safe

At Grove House, we teach children how to stay safe whilst at school and at home. Not only do we focus on making safe and healthy decisions, we also work with teacher to help them develop their mental health and know how to keep healthy and make healthy choices.

We believe that by providing  support for a child or young persons mental and emotional health, we can help create the best conditions for them to realise their potential. In doing this, we seek the advice and support of Step2. You can find out more about them by visiting their website.  Although there is a cost attached to some of their services, they do offer free counselling for children above the age of 11 and their website holds a great deal of information you may find useful.

On all school devices we have Securas deployed which ensures the safe use of technology as well as promoting excellence in digital safety throughout the school. Click here for certification

In addition, we work with a range of external partners to help us deliver a curriculum which teaches the children to keep healthy and make healthy choices in the world they live in. Our safeguarding curriculum includes working with:

West Yorkshire Police

West Yorkshire Cyber Safety Team

Bradford Road Safety Team

West Yorkshire Fire Service

St Johns Ambulance

Coram Life Education (Life Caravan)

Banardo’s

NSPCC

Royal National Lifeboat Institution

Bradford Children’s Services

All our Assistant Head Teachers are trained to support the safeguarding of children. You can speak to them if you are concerned about the well-being of your child or their safety in any way, even if its only to get advice.
