Safeguarding

Keeping safe

At Grove House, we teach children how to stay safe whilst at school and at home. Not only do we focus on making safe and healthy decisions, we also work with teachers to help them develop their mental health and know how to keep healthy and make healthy choices.

We believe that by providing  support for a child or young persons mental and emotional health, we can help create the best conditions for them to realise their potential.

On all school devices we have Securus deployed which ensures the safe use of technology as well as promoting excellence in digital safety throughout the school.

Our senior leadership team (SLT) are trained to support the safeguarding of children. You can speak to them if you are concerned about the well-being of your child or their safety in any way, even if its only to get advice.

All staff in school undertake yearly safeguarding training that covers all aspects of safeguarding as well as specific training on PREVENT and online safety. Our knowledge is regularly updated through updates and bulletins and is a key focus of our professional development at Grove House Primary School.

We are also part of Operation Encompass –  See the 2025-Operation-Encompass-Safeguarding-Statement
